What is that?

I was showing someone a photo of the Hot Wheels quilt today on my phone and I noticed something that I am very unhappy about. Can you see it? I am not going to tell you in case it is not as obvious as it seems to me to be.


Should I unpick the whole thing and re-arrange?

    Oh no! A swastika? Hmm maybe there is a way to unpick part of it? Get out some paper and try to sketch it before you rip.

    You mean the secondary pattern finish into a Hitler cross? It took me a while to figure it out, if that's any consolation, as the hooks are not in one whole colour set. I would probably rearrange. There is too much bad feelings hanging on that symbolism.

    Yes, I see it. I just asked my husband to come look at it (for a second opinion), and he said the same. I'm so sorry! I vote to rearrange.

    I didn't see it until reading through the comments here! I always thought you were a Hitler fan...blonde hair...blue eyes... :-)

    I would have suggesting you leave it but I think it'll always bother you. I know it would bother me. Maybe rearrange it into KKK or something this next time.

      Well, you've given me a good laugh! Who accidentally quilts a swastika into their quilt - YOU! And that, my friend, is why you are so awesome (now, if you'd done that on purpose...not so awesome).

    I looked and looked at this on my iPad and could not figure it out for the life of me and finally had to read down to the comments to see what others had said. Ok how did I not figure this out when I'm a WWII historian and have studied the Holocaust at length? Guess I just wasn't looking at the big picture - I was looking for something small - like a Where's Waldo. Ugh.
    Good luck with the seam ripper and look forward to your redesign. :)
