My own younger brother has lived with this form of Diabetes since he was little. I forget how old he was when he was diagnosed, 6 or 7 maybe, but it was life changing for all of us in one way or another and continues to affect his life now. Research is important, not just to find a cure, but also help find ways to make living with this disease a little easier in the meantime.
