And I also added another tote bag to my list and completed it, thanks to my husband who casually mentioned this evening that his work Christmas party is tomorrow and he needed both a gift and a side dish for it. I also forgot my boys both had to take a swap gift to school tomorrow, so I ran to Target, got some stuff, then whipped out a tote bag using the Green bag lady's video tutorial and pattern. It was a good excuse to try out the pattern I was itching to try. It was fast and easy, although I could not bring myself to leave raw zigzagged edges on the handles so I pressed an 1/8 inch hem on each side of the fold before I sewed them and did the same to the bag top. It turned out cute and was way easier than my previous bag.
It wasn't a totally "green" gift wrap since I had to use tissue paper inside the bag around the gift, but at least some of it is reusable.
Now I just need to finish the pajamas for the baby and the stockings. They are at the top of the list right now.
