WIP Wednesday and a giveaway!

Firstly, Leigh, over at The Sewing Diva is having a giveaway for some cool cookie cutters that would be fab to use with the recipe for Auntie's Sugar cookies! So zip over there and get yourself entered!

Works in Progress report:

Sliced Coins: Done as far as I can get it without buying more fabric.

I am quite happy with how it turned out. The size is nice and balanced and I love how the fabrics work together even though they were a  mishmash.  And it was quite fun to piece. I am pretty pleased with the fact that I managed nice straight seams.

7 Blocks for Collaboration Baby quilt: Done
Circle of Wonky Stars QA: Still nothing.
MOTP Layer Cake QA: 3 blocks behind.
Buck a Block BOTM: Same status as last time.
The Hot Wheels quilt is still just an image on the computer. I may trash the whole plan and do a stacked coins with the fabric. I enjoyed making my sliced coins quilt.
And I need to Quilt the flaming Dragon doll quilt now that I have some batting.

New projects added:
Baby quilt for my cousin's baby coming this summer. She just found out it's a girl. I have some time on this one thank goodness.
Doll quilt using vintage sheet.
iPhone cover (Yeah I finally joined this century. Don't ask me to use Facebook though.)
Pencil case for my purse.

  1. Your sliced coins look great. The colors are yummie! I haven't started mine yet. Talk about being behind! HA!

  3. I like the way the blues are placed in you sliced coins quilt :)

  4. Your sliced coins top is so pretty! I'm usually not a fan of light pink, but paired up with the other fabrics I really like this.

  5. Oh wow, I really like how the soft colors work for the sliced coins quilt! And I see what you mean about having a sizable list to work from! Can't wait to see more of them in picture form!! Happy Wednesday!
