Along came baby sister, and it wasn't too long before she found the Blue doll in the closet and fell in love. This was a little girl who loved music and dancing and watching Elmo and Abby dance and sing on Sesame Street almost every day. Now she had friend right here in her house that would sing and dance with her! Blue was almost as big as she but she carried her around and danced with her every chance she could get.
One day, the little girl's Daddy discovered their cable was coming to their house by accident. Alas, the cable company took the cable away and the little girl was sad because Abby and Elmo were gone. But she still had Blue! And her mommy remembered all the Blue's Clues DVDs gathering dust on the shelves and so the mommy and the little girl went upstairs and put on Blue's Clues.
Mommy folded laundry and the little girl watched and danced and laughed and played with Blue and smashed goldfish crackers into the carpet (she was still a very little girl you know).
Soon the mommy looked up and to her surprise she saw something wonderful. It was not a clue! No, it was a quilt block! There, on Blue's Clues was a quilt block. Actually it was some art hanging in Blue's friend Magenta's house, but it would make a fantastic quilt block. So the mommy paused the dvd and ran to get the camera. The mommy took a picture so when she had some quiet time, she could make that block.
And that is just what she did.
Here is the mommy's block. It was really fun to do. There was no orange fabric to be had so yellow it was! It ended up slightly more rectangular than intended but still cool.
Now, what do I do with it?
As suggetsted I will be entering this in the Quiltstory Block Party. Come see!
